Rose Minerals — the bottleneck

Only 6 nodes in the entire game, all in Mountains. Pin each one with the map (T) and use Homing Boots to navigate efficiently. Mine all 6 in a single trip if possible; the round-trip Pathmaker drive is expensive.

Recommended mining order

 1. Coast first — Hardened Metal and Strong Weave for prerequisites.
 2. Mountains approach — Chrome Ore on the way in (used for Phase Lens).
 3. Central Mountains — Adamant Metal (10 nodes; you only need ~5).
 4. Final summit run — all 6 Rose Minerals + return.

Common rare-resource questions

What is the rarest resource in Outbound?

Rose Minerals. Only 6 nodes exist in the entire game, all in the Mountains biome. They are the only Tier 5 material and required for the Reactor Core, Phase Lens and the Communicator that triggers the ending choice.

How many Rose Mineral nodes do I need to mine?

All 6 if you want every endgame craft. Minimum 4 for the Reactor Core (1) + Communicator (2) + 1 spare.

Can I trade for rare resources?

Partially. The Coastline trader sells Strong Weave and Casings for Pearls. Adamant, Chrome and Rose Minerals are not tradeable — you must mine them yourself in Mountains.
