  4. Coast (East) \u2014 Fabricator unlock; mid-game power-up.
  5. Coast Reef \u2014 optional Tidal Capacitor.
  6. Mountains Approach \u2014 Insulated Cabin (mandatory before Summit).
  7. Summit Beacon \u2014 final tower; triggers the ending choice.

How many signal towers are there in Outbound?

Seven across the four biomes: 1 in Starting Area, 1 in Canyons, 3 in Coast (the densest tower region), and 2 in Mountains. The Mountain Summit Beacon is the final tower and triggers the ending choice.

Do I need to power every signal tower?

No — only 4 are required for the main story (one per biome). The remaining 3 in Coast and Mountains are optional but provide useful schematics and fast-travel beacons.

What do you need to power a signal tower?

Power requirements scale by biome. Starting Area asks for 1 Copper Wire + 1 Scrap Metal; Canyons adds 1 Electronics; Coast adds 1 Hardened Metal; Mountains adds 1 Adamant Metal. Materials are always biome-local.

How do I find a signal tower?

Each biome’s tower auto-pins on first entry. Equip Homing Boots and toggle them on for an on-screen arrow. See the dedicated Homing Boots guide.
