What platforms is Outbound on?+
Outbound launched on Steam (PC) on May 11, 2026. No confirmed console release yet.
Does Outbound have multiplayer?+
At launch, Outbound is single-player only. Co-op has been mentioned by the developers as a post-launch roadmap item.
Is Outbound Steam Deck verified?+

How long is Outbound?+
The critical path is roughly 18–25 hours. A complete run including all blueprints and endings is 40–55 hours.
What is the best starting location in Outbound?+
Forest Valley is the easiest start: dense wood, iron and coal within 100m of the landing site, and mild night temperatures.
How do I unlock the Ion Forge?+
Craft the Ion Cell schematic (drops in the Caldera vault) and use the Fabricator Lv.2 to assemble the Ion Forge components.
Is there a cozy/easy mode?+
Yes — 'Relaxed' mode disables hostile fauna and slows resource drain. It's toggleable at world creation.
Can I respec or reset upgrades?+
Upgrades can be deconstructed for 75% of their materials. There is no hard respec — you progressively rebuild.
How do I cross Crystal Fields?+
You need Hover Thrusters (T4). No ground-based workaround exists.
How many endings are there?+
Three primary endings plus one hidden ending. See our ending guide for requirements.
